Guy Gentile, who runs a Bahamas-based brokerage, was shocked to come home and find his Mercedes S400 hybrid underwater.
Guy, who was once busted for an alleged Wall Street pump and dump scheme in 2007 before becoming an FBI informant to beat the charge, discovered his car after Trigger sent him a text.
“Lier! You told me you will help me to start a business!” Trigger wrote. “That was your words! Now you want to be an investor??? Well, investor, I have a surprise for you In your backyard, start with that investment idea first (sic.).”
At first, a horrified Guy thought his former lover was inside the sunken car.
“After I realised she wasn’t in it, then I start to get pissed off that she would pull something like this after everything I’ve done for her,” Guy said.
The business tycoon explained how, at their last dinner, she dropped a bomb that he wasn’t expecting at all. “She looks at me and says, ‘I have something to tell you’. I’m pregnant’.”
Trigger was apparently lying. She was hoping to start a marketing business and wanted her rich boyfriend to give her the money she needed to get it going – more than R600 000.
“I must accept some responsibility, if a woman is not crazy she doesn’t love you. And I must’ve driven her crazy for her to have,” he said.
