The festive season is fast approaching, meaning more travelling and relaxing time, right?
This doesn't mean you should neglect your sex life. Take your toys with you and have fun wherever you are.
Here are some tips for travelling with your sex toys:
1. Keep them from turning on
We’ve heard funny, if not shocking, stories of vibrators going off in someone’s luggage or someone being suspected of carrying a bomb in a flight. So, when packing, make sure none of this happens because you will likely be embarrassed. You can turn it off but there’s a high chance that something might trigger it and it goes on. Your safe bet is to remove your batteries entirely from the device.
2. Protect it
If you’re travelling to another country, border control might want to go through your luggage and you don’t want strangers handling your stuff. Pack your toys in a clear packet so they’re easily visible.
3. Don’t pack the big guns
While it’s totally legal for you travel with your toys, there are still rules to regulate this sort of package. According to Trip Advisor South Africa, you cannot carry items that are longer than seven inches (17.78 centimetres) because they may be mistaken for a weapon. Keep it light, short and fun.
4. Research your destination
Sex toys don’t come cheap, so, to avoid having to leave it at the airport should you find out if such items are allowed into the country. While some countries are still warming up to the idea of allowing dildos, countries like Saudi Arabia have a strict policy regarding this.
5. Pack your own cleaning material
Once you’ve had your fun for the night or morning, the next step is to clean your toy. Avoid using soaps that you find in hotel rooms because those usually contain oils that can ruin your toys.
