What most men don’t realise

accreditation
Some men find this challenging and feel that showing sensitivity or expressing their feelings emasculates them.

Often, they choose to show their affection with lavish gifts and expensive dinners. All the while thinking that this is what women want.

While those things are all wonderful, a woman can have all of that and still feel unsatisfied.

The best things in life are free?

I would be lying if I said I didn’t like gifts. I mean, honestly, who wouldn’t want their man to buy them a lovely bunch of roses, but your love and affection need not cost the earth or anything for that matter?

My boyfriend, for instance, often makes me a toasted sandwich and lovingly adds a nasturtium on the side of the plate. This didn’t cost him a cent, he picked it from the garden, but the effort he made to make my humble sandwich look pretty shows me he cares.

It’s little things like these that make a world of a difference and guess what:

It won’t break the bank.

•    A text message in the middle of my working day that says: “Hey, hope you had a great morning so far, looking forward to seeing you tonight”. This shows me he’s thinking of me even when I’m not with him.

•    A chocolate bar waiting for me on my pillow when I get home from work showing me he knows what I like. Thoughtfulness and kind words go a long way.

•    The mere fact that he is happy to see me when I walk in the door at night (I get greeted with a kiss) sets the tone for the rest of the evening.

Gents, I know you want to be THE MAN and yes we like our manly men.

But – and I promise you this - showing a little tenderness, being caring, sensitive and considerate towards the woman in your life even in the smallest ways, will not get your man card revoked.

Feel the same? What would you like the man in your life to realize? What will set your heart racing? Share the love your desires below.
