First impressions
Yeah, look, I have GOT to stop equating my vibes to children's TV characters, but seriously I saw this lovely lilac rabbit, the Fancy from Smile, and just thought 'HEIMLICH!'.

For serious.

Of course, then I thought 'ORGASM!' Which was a disturbing combination of images. But you know me, I soldiered on for your amusement and here we are for another educational sex toy review.

What it is

The Smile Fancy is a traditional-style rabbit vibrator. In other words it’s a g-spot and clit stimulator, coming at you with a dual approach ¬-- the penetrative shaft and a clitoral nub to stimulate your happy bean. Originally this was a pair of bunny ears, but in this case it’s butterfly antenna.

How it works

The Fancy is a whole world apart from the Jessica Rabbit in terms of style; think Anne Hathaway as opposed to Snooki. So while it doesn’t have the million different turning, bouncing, bobble bling-bling bits, it has the action that matters – the rotation of the actual shaft and the clit-targeted vibration.

The shaft of the Fancy has four bulges and ends in a nifty little upturn, for extra ‘g-spot’ stim. As the shaft rotates, it works on the inside of the vaginal wall, while the clitorial stimulator does pretty much what other vibrators do – make the bean happy. Together these two little puppies make for what I like to think of as an all-over vag experience.

What it does
The shaft does a sort of wave-like rotation from left to right in three speeds. The butterfly wings vibe on seven levels, from straight to pulse to ramp and various combinations of these.

What I thought of it:

The happy
In general I really quite like this rabbit. I like it because it’s understated and gets the job done. While I think a little more girth would’ve been cool, the overall design is incredibly pleasing. It’s super easy to hold, with ample space for a firm grip and three very unfussy, easy-to-manipulate-during-play push-button controls.

And I LOVE the material – soft, hygienic, peach-skin silicone without attracting fluff. It’s also splashproof, which is good for cleaning purposes. Also, the battery compartment (3 x AAA) opens really easily and seems to be standard across their toys, making the battery case interchangeable between products, which is very handy when you’re short on batteries.

I enjoy the almost trippy, wave-like rotation of the shaft and the pointy flick at the end which is able to trigger my rare and mind-altering cervix orgasms. I like how the clitoral nub is bulgy enough for sensation and I find the vibration itself good throughout the toy (and surprisingly quiet).

Like most rabbits, you can choose action from both the shaft and clitoral nub simultaneously, or you can switch the one action off.

The not happy
After all my freaking out about the Jessica Rabbit’s near-violent, clit-beating rabbit ears, I found the Fancy’s butterfly antennae almost too soft. It’s not that the vibe itself is too light, it’s that the material itself is too pliant with too much give. This is mostly balanced by upping the vibe settings, but I found myself wanting more serious vibe action around the bean off the bat.

The rest of the ‘not happy’ is really surface stuff, like I find it tiresome to clean what with all the bulges and indents and nooks around the clitoral nub. And the fact that I still hate Smile’s cheap packaging, it really doesn’t do their great products any justice.

Should you run out and buy it?
This is a great entry level rabbit and I can see it becoming a firm fave in my goodie box, just like the Gipsy did. Also, while they might not spend the earth on packaging, it also means you get a high-quality product at a very affordable price for its range.
