After the break-up

accreditation
The do's...

  • Do begin dating when you feel it's right for you. Other people may rush you or slow you down.
  • Choose the person who feels right for you. Resist the temptation to find somebody who's totally different from your ex, remember there were a lot of things about him that attracted you initially.
  • Do take time to re-establish your own identity.
  • Do rely on your friends, not as matchmakers, but as support systems.

    ...and the don'ts

  • Don't go out only to find romance. New social interactions can also produce lasting, valuable friendships.
  • Don't be dispirited by disappointing experiences. There is so much potential out there
  • Don't hunt. Desperate people give off desperate signals.
  • Don't hide. Mr Wonderful isn't about to drop into your lap as if by magic. Be brave: get out there.
  • We live in a world where facts and fiction get blurred
