When you’re strapped down under a heavy cape with a scissor-wielding stylist waving their hands around your head, you really are at their mercy – as this poor woman from Columbia will certainly tell you

Luisa Fernanda Barajas, from Villavicencio, Columbia, decided to pop into a local hair salon to indulge in a keratin hair treatment.

Daniel Saray, a well-known stylist in the city and owner of the salon, asked if he could cut Luisa’s long hair – but she simply refused.

"Right from the beginning of the treatment, Daniel Saray offered to cut a bit of my hair, that is blonde, natural and long, and I told him ‘no’,” Luisa says.

Luisa says that the hairstylist talked her into a trim and even offered her a second hair treatment – but when she saw the end result, she noticed that he had cut off a ruler’s length of hair.

Luisa, who was devasted, screamed loudly at Daniel and had phoned the police immediately.

When police arrived at the hair salon, they interviewed both Luisa and Daniel to try and get to the bottom of the matter.

She believes that Daniel intended to sell her hair and has laid a charge of theft against him.

Luisa now plans on taking legal action against the popular hair stylist – but Daniel insists that she had given him permission to go ahead and chop off her hair.

An eyewitness, who filmed the scene, shows a tearful Luisa showing the back of her head where the stylist had cut.

“Did you authorise him to cut it?” a policeman can be heard saying.

“No, how would I have liked that?” Luisa responds.

The footage is proving to be popular after being shared on social media, which has reportedly led to other woman complaining about the salon as well.

Hair theft is not an uncommon crime in Columbia. Earlier this year, while a woman went shopping in the City of Cali, a passerby quickly cut off her long ponytail.
