Beyonce sued again!

Beyonce is facing legal action from a disgruntled Hollywood Hills resident who alleges his privacy was disrupted when the R&B superstar filmed her new video in his quiet neighbourhood.

Philip Markowitz filed a suit against Beyonce and production firm Kleiner & Company over her new promo "Why Don't You Love Me".

He alleges he was rudely awakened at 7am on 26 March when the film crew arrived in the exclusive Mount Olympus community in the Hollywood Hills and "invaded his neighbourhood".

Philip claims he was then prevented from leaving his property and each time he stepped out of his house, he found members of the crew blocking his driveway.

According to legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, he confronted the promo staff about the problem and as a result, "missed several business calls while arguing calmly in his driveway".

The documents go on to state, "(Philip) demanded compensation for the trespass on his property and the inconvenience and delay he had already suffered", but was told he could not be paid because it was a "low budget film shoot".

Philip is suing on the grounds of private nuisance and trespass and is demanding unspecified damages and punitive costs, according to TMZ.com.

Beyonce's many court battles
Last year, Beyonce was sued by Abercombie & Fitch. The company claimed that they owned the name of her scent, originally titled "Fierce". She changed her fragrance name to "Heat".

By 2007, Beyonce had been sued four times by different people for copyright infringement, including her hit tracks "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Baby Boy" and "Still in Love".

The singer was slammed with more legal problems when her producer on MTV said she took credit for writing "Crazy in Love". In 2008, Ne-Yo also went head-to-head with Beyonce after she claimed that she had written "Irreplaceable" during a radio interview.

After Beyonce released B'Day, an album which included a cover of Des'ree's track "I'm Kissing You", it turned out that she had not received the proper clearance for the song.

Beyonce's clothing range, House of Dereon, fell prey to legal complications from a Hong Kong clothing manufacturer, Vier International. The company alleged that House of Dereon cost the company $500,000 in an alleged conspiracy to undercut the company.

Earlier this year, Beyonce was also sued by Triumph for copyright infringement over lingerie. The company claimed she wore an unauthorised copy of a Bulgarian designer's lingerie in her "Video Phone" music video.

That's quite a track record! Is it time for Beyonce to pay up? Or do you think this case will also be swept under the carpet?
