Most of us are aware of how awkward it can be to have sex with someone new. Will he like your body? What if it sucks? How forward should you be? It’s a lot to deal with, which is why we can understand that Cougar Town star Courteney Cox hasn’t shagged anyone in over a year. After all, when is the right time to invite someone new into your bed after a divorce?
The 47-year-old actress, whose marriage to David Arquette ended in October 2010, told radio host Howard Stern: “I have not had sex. It's been about a year. I'm holding to it,” adding: “I've not had a man since David. I've made out with one guy.”
One thing that I believe everyone should do before jumping into the sack is to deal with the emotions of past relationships. And that sounds like exactly what Courteney’s doing. “I'm really not ready, I'm still emotionally... it's hard.”
While Courteney’s cuddling up with her pillow, David has already moved on. He launched headlong into a new romance with Christina McLarty –and he’s been encouraging Courts to meet someone new. “He even says to me, "Courteney, it's time, get out there."
Well, at least we know they’re on talking terms…
