Katie Price and Peter divorce

Neither the glamour model nor the singer were present at London's High Court when Judge Hilary Bradley declared their union decree nisi – the first stage of divorce proceedings – just before 10.30am.

She stated that both parties could not "reasonably be expected" to live with each other.
Katie was said to be thrilled she was "finally free", toasting the end of her marriage with pink champagne at her home in Surrey, England.

She reportedly told a friend, "It's been a nightmare but we're finally getting there. I just want to move on with my life and think about the future – one without Pete. It's sad but I have to face facts. Thank God it's over."

Katie – known as Jordan – is now planning a "divorce party" to celebrate her split from Peter. "She wants one big blow-out with all her friends. It's been a tough time of late so she really wants to let her hair down," a source said. "She's been busy deciding on the guest list and really wants it to be a night to remember. It's fair to say she's delighted and she's let her feelings be known."

Peter is also happy the union is over. "He feels a great sense of relief that he can start his life afresh without Katie," a family friend said.

Katie and Peter had both filed petitions for divorce in August, claiming their marriage had "broken down irretrievably". Both affidavits claimed "continuing unreasonable behaviour" but denied their actions had affected the other's mental health.

The pair now face a six-week cooling-off period before the divorce is finalised.

Katie and Peter married in 2005 and raise three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii, together.

Their custody arrangements are expected to be announced within the next two weeks.
Peter has vowed to stay celibate until the divorce is completely finalised but Katie is reportedly already planning her next wedding.

The model has vowed to marry her cage fighter lover Alex Reid in December. "This will show Pete that I really am over him and it serves him right for hurting me the way he did when he left me in May," she told friends.
