Lady Gaga most powerful celeb

Lady Gaga soared to the top of this year's listing of the richest and most powerful celebrities. This includes actors, actresses, athletes, writers and musicians. The ‘Born This Way’ singer came at No. 1 spot for the Celebrity 100 list. She beat Oprah (No.2), who in the last seven years has only given up the position three times. You go Gaga!

Justin Bieber followed at No. 3. Watch out Oprah, Biebs might take your number 2 spot too.

Gaga also came in at No. 11 at the Forbes' annual World's 100 Most Powerful Women list, positioning her higher than a few other famous females we know. The top Ten positions were taken by the likes of Hillary Clinton at No. 2, Michelle Obama  ranking at No. 8, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel took top spot.

You wouldn’t believe who she beat though. Oprah Winfrey at No.14, Beyoncé taking No. 18, Angelina Jolie is No. 29, Ellen DeGeneres is at No. 55 and Gisele Bündchen at No. 60. Gaga is moving up.

Her little monsters must be thrilled their mommy monster is powerful.

Forbes magazine said in a statement, “Lady Gaga wears the crown of Forbes 2011 Most Powerful Celebrity. It's a title she's made good on both in dollar signs and massive constituency. She raked in $90 million over the past year. In July, Gaga became the first Twitter user to reach 12 million followers...her Facebook page has 36 million fans.”

Not forgetting the royal antique, Queen Elizabeth II, she managed to breakthrough the top 50 of the World's 100 Most Powerful Women and came in at No. 49. She does have some kind of power even if it’s not on the dance floor, on the ramp or even a movie scene.

Do you think Gaga deserves her spot?
