Reports say Miley's boyfriend Liam Hemsworth is so set against her new look that he is thinking of dumping her. "Liam tried to convince her that her fans were originally drawn to her wholesome image, kind of like Taylor Swift, and now she's going more into the Britney Spears category," a source said.
One of his friends added: "He doesn't like that she wants to be seen as a bad girl and sex symbol. He thinks it's fake… All of this acting out garbage isn't his thing."
But Miley still won't settle for a more demure image. "I can't base my career off of the six-year-olds," she said. "It's the 16-year-olds, the 26-year-olds I'm trying to reach for now. I have to move on."
