On Friday the 23rd of May, Elliot Rodger went on a killing spree in Santa Barbara, shortly after making this video and writing his 137 page manifesto. I spent three days reading and summarizing his “life story” so you don’t have to.
This summary is divided into five parts.

Part 6: 22 years old - The Day of Retribution and Epilogue
The short summary:
First, he would murder people in his flat and remove their heads. Then he would murder his little brother and stepmother. Then he would drive to a sorority house and massacre all the girls there, and set the house on fire.
Then he would use his car and his guns to kill as many people as possible, until the police caught up to him and he would kill himself.
He thinks in a perfect world women shouldn’t be allowed to choose who to have sex with, and that intelligent men should make that decision for them. He considers them animals.
He also views women as a plague, who should be quarantined, and most of them starved to death. He utterly and completely loathes women.
The long summary:
First phase
“The first phase will represent my vengeance against all of the men who have had pleasurable sex lives while I’ve had to suffer. Things will be fair once I make them suffer as I did. I will finally even the score.”
Elliot planned to kill as many people as possible in his apartment, including his 2 roommates. He would torture good looking people before killing them, based on the assumption that they have better sex lives.
"I will cut them, flay them, strip all the skin off their flesh, and pour boiling water over tem while they are still alive."
“When they are dead, I will behead them and keep their heads in a bag, for their heads will play a major role in the final phase.
Second phase
"The Second Phase will represent my War on Women. I will punish all females for the crime of depraving me of sex."
“I cannot kill every single female on earth, but I can deliver a devastating blow that will shake all of them to the core of their wicked hearts.”
“I will attack the very girls who represent everything I hate in the female gender: the hottest sorority of USCB. After doing a lot of extensive research within the last year, I found out that the sorority with the most beautiful girls is Alpha Phi Sorority.”
“Alpha Phi sorority is full of hot, beautiful blonde girls, the kind of girls I’ve always desired but was never able to have because they all look down on me. They are spoiled, heartless, wicked bitches.”
“I will sneak into their house at around 9pm on the Day of Retribution, just before the partying starts, and slaughter every single one of them with my guns and knives. If I have time, I will set their whole house on fire. Then we shall see who the superior one really is!”
Final phase
Elliot plans to kill his younger brother, “Denying him of the chance to grow up to surpass me”. He also plans to kill his stepmother as she would be in the way, but not his father.
He will then take his Mercedes SUV to Isla Vista.
He will execute Phase 2. (Elliot doesn’t seem to quite understand chronological order), then he will use his SUV and guns to kill as many people as possible.
“When they are writhing in pain, their bodies broken and dying after I splatter them, they will fully realize their crimes.”
Elliot seems convinced that hurting people will make them "realize" how unfair they've been to him by not revolving their lives around him
“Once I reach Del Playa Street, I will dump the bag of severed heads I had saved from my previous victims, proclaiming to everyone how much I’ve made them all suffer. Once they see all of their friend’s heads roll onto the street, everyone will fear me as the powerful god I am.”
He will massacre a house party, targeting couples and attractive people first.
The police will be on their way, and he will drive away, killing as much as possible, and find a suitable place to kill himself. This is to absolutely ensure his own death and prevent him from having to "suffer being captured and sent to prison".
“On the week leading up to date I set for the Day of Retribution, I uploaded several videos on Youtube in order to express my views and feelings to the world, though I don’t plan on uploading my ultimate video until minutes before the attack, because on that video I will talk about exactly why I’m doing this.”
He talks specifically about a video called “Why Do Girls Hate Me So Much”.
"It is my attempt to reason with the female gender, to ask them why they have mistreated me. I was hoping to get some sort of answer from girls. In fact, a small part of me was even hoping that a girl would see the video and contact me to give me a chance to go on a date.”
“As expected, I got absolutely no response from any girls. The only responses I got were from other men who called me names and made fun of me. Women don’t care about me at all. They won’t even deign to tell me why they’ve mistreated me. This just shows how evil and sadistic they are. Oh well, they will realize the gravity of their crimes when I slaughter them all on the Day of Retribution. How dare they reject a magnificent gentleman like me!”
Elliot prepared for the Day of Retribution. All he had to do was finish his manifesto and film his final video, the rest are already on Youtube. Then he got a cold.
The Day of Retribution is postponed for a month. Elliot finds himself relieved, not because he’s bothered by the notion of murdering hundreds of people including his own brother; only because he’s bothered by prospects of his own death.
During this time, police visit his house.
Someone (it seems his mother) had seen the Youtube videos, and, worried, called a health agency to check up on him. They sent the police.
The police asked him if he had suicidal thoughts, then left. If they had searched his room, they would have found his plans for the massacre.
Finally, these are his sentiments
“I am not part of the human race. Humanity has rejected me. The females of the human species have never wanted to mate with me, so how could I possibly consider myself part of humanity? Humanity has never accepted me among them, and now I know why. I am more than human. I am superior to them all. I am Elliot Rodger… Magnificent, glorious, supreme, eminent… Divine! I am the closest thing there is to a living god. Humanity is a disgusting, depraved, and evil species. It is my purpose to punish them all. I will purify the world of everything that is wrong with it. On the Day of Retribution, I will truly be a powerful god, punishing everyone I deem to be impure and depraved.
“It wasn’t until I went through puberty and started desiring girls that my whole life turned into a living hell. I desired girls, but girls never desired me back. There is something very wrong with that. It is an injustice that cannot go unpunished. There is no way I could live a happy life with such a scenario.”
From the Epilogue
"Sex gives human beings a tremendous amount of pleasure, pleasure they don't deserve. No one deserves to experience so much pleasure"
"The ultimate evil behind sexuality is the human female. They are the main instigators of sex. They control which men get it and which men don’t. Women are flawed creatures, and etc.”
"There is something very twisted and wrong with the way (females) brains are wired. They think like beasts and, in truth, they are beasts. Women are incapable of having morals or thinking rationally. They are completely controlled by their depraved emotions and vile sexual impulses.”
“Women should not have the right to choose who to mate and breed with. This decision should be made for them by rational men of intelligence. If women continue to have rights, they will only hinder the advancement of the human race by breeding with degenerate men and creating stupid degenerate offspring. This will cause humanity to become even more depraved with every generation. Women have more power in human society than they deserve, all because of sex. There is no creature more evil and depraved than the human woman.”
“Women are like a plague. They don’t deserve to have any rights. Their wickedness must be contained in order to prevent future generations from falling to degeneracy. Women are vicious, evil, barbaric animals, and they need to be treated as such.”
Elliot decides no-one should have sex at all, because it's like going to heaven and humans should not experience heaven before death. He believes sex should be abolished.
He lays out how he would run the world if he was given the position over society that he believes he deserves. He will quarantine women in concentration camps and starve most of them to death. A few left over he will keep in secret labs for reproduction purposes, which would occur through artificial insemination.
He would do this because he believes that, if men didn't know women existed, they wouldn't know about and wouldn't have any desire for sex.
“All I ever wanted to do was love women, and in turn to be loved by them back. Their behaviour towards me has only earned my hatred, and rightfully so. I am the true victim in all of this. I am the good guy. Humanity struck me at first by condemning me to experience so much suffering. I didn’t ask for this. I didn’t want this. I didn’t start this war... I wasn’t the one who struck first... But I will finish it by striking back. I will punish everyone. And it will be beautiful. Finally, at long last, I can show the world my true worth.”
