If you haven’t made any, here are the love resolutions you can make as a couple.
Spend time together
Spending time together is very essential in a relationship to keep the romance alive. You don’t need to plan expensive holidays and dates, a walk in the park and watching your favourite TV show or movie together is more than enough.
Don’t expect perfection
Every relationship has it flaws but that doesn’t mean you have to call it quit and wish you were with some other similarly imperfect person. Nobody is perfect so is a relationship. “Constantly visualizing ideal spouses makes you less happy because it creates more potential for unproductive desire or regret,” explains Joshua Coleman, Ph.D., author of The Marriage Makeover.
Say I love you often
If you are not used to say “I love you” more often to your partner then this is the year to do so. Make it a habit to utter the good and seal it with a kiss. Say “I love you” at least once a day that will add some romance in your relationship.
Compliment each other
A compliment from your better half gives you confidence that your lover still finds you attractive. It doesn’t have to get to a point where you question yourself when last did my partner say, “I look good in that red dress or am sexy”
Make your relationship a priority
If you want to improve your relationship you need to make time for it this year. A relationship needs time and effort, so you should be willing to commit the needed time and energy to it.
