Many shops will be dropping their prices this coming Friday, thanks to Black Friday. But, what exactly is it about? We find out.

Black Friday is actually an American concept – shops have major sales on the first Friday after Thanksgiving. It has unofficially become the beginning of Christmas shopping worlwide.

Because of the price cuts, (and it co-inciding with pay day), shoppers queue outside stores the night before as stock are limited.

Black Friday is the perfect time to shop for gifts as get items you want at a steal. For example, that LBD you’ve been dying for at Spree? It’s going to be reduced from R399 just R20 on Friday!
