Exercise tips to get your body summer ready

1.     Treadmill Hills

When you’re on the treadmill, turn up the incline and increase your heart rate with sprints. Do eight sets of 20 seconds with 10 seconds of rest in between.

2.     Squats with bells

Squats are one of the easiest and most effective moves that anyone can do to tone the lower body. Adding dumbbells gets your upper body involved too. Work to a 40 second on and 20 second off ratio. Aim to do at least three sets.

3.     Push-up challenge

This challenge you can even try at home and don’t need to be at the gym. Simply do one push up the first minute, two on the second, three on the third and so on, for as long as you can go.

4.     Big burpees

These exercises have a reputation of being tough, but they offer a full body workout. If you break between sets of traditional burpees (stand, squat, push-up, jumping jack), you can try an easier version by eliminating the push up. And if you’re looking for an even bigger challenge, try switching the jumping jack to a high-knee jump.

5.     Cycling

Cycling is great for not only burning fat, but also getting rid of stress and any worries. Pump up your playlist with upbeat songs and try going for 15 minutes at least.

Whatever you prefer when it comes to exercise you can add these simple fixes recommend by Hannan to your workout routine and be beach ready by December. Happy Spring.
