Here is the cheat’s guide to looking well. Even if you haven't been living the healthiest lifestyle, you can still look as if you are.

1) Fake your tan
These days the products are much better and won’t make you look like Donatella Versace. Build up a nice gradual fake tan and it will look as if you’ve spent hours running, swimming and playing in the sun. Without the nasty UVA and UVB rays.

2) Have your teeth brightened
Remove coffee, tea and nicotine stains instantly. A bright smile will make you look healthier and younger. So go to your dentist and get your teeth whitened (no dodgy bleaches please).

3) Get your beauty sleep
Turn around bright eyes! The best cure for bloodshot eyes is rest. So sleep okay? Also, the old-wives tales of teabags and cucumber also help reduce redness and puffiness. If that fails, buy yourself some eye drops.

4) Take a hot bath
Although this can dry out your skin if done regularly, the odd hot-as-you-can-stand-it bath does wonders for your complexion. (Once your tomato face returns to normal). Sweating is good for you and will make your skin glow (with vitality, not sweat.) Also, you’ll feel relaxed and happy.

5) Feeling fat? Cut your hair!
Nothing is more distracting than a nice haircut. And I mean distracting in a good way. It will cheer you up, and hair is usually one of the three things men look at.

6) Buy new shoes
Don’t feel like shopping because you’re not the size you wish to be? Buy shoes! Also, nice heels will make you look taller and slimmer and will make you feel sexy.
So buck up – smile, flip your hair, show some cleavage and fake your way into looking good this summer.
