I don’t know if Xtina is in denial about her weight or if she’s just suddenly morphed into the coolest celebrity alive. But this is what she wore to the Michael Jackson tribute concert.
She appeared seemingly unconcerned that her body now looked like it belonged to the 30 year-old woman (who likes good food and fine wine) that she is. While I'm sure many of you are rending your robes and pouring ashes on your heads in mourning for the ass-less-chap-wearing slutty teenager that was, I have to applaud her bravery. No lipo, no surgery, no macro-biotic diets, no 8 hours of power yoga a day that will ultimately give her man-arms and an Adam's apple. (Yes Madge and Cameron, I'm looking at you!)
On the other hand, it also makes me wonder: Why are female singers expected to perform in their underwear these days? Seriously, except for Adele (thank God) ALL the other female performers run around without pants these days. And I mean pants in the American sense. The poor girl-women apparently aren't even allowed to wear short dresses anymore. Look at GaGa, Beyonce, Kylie, Britney, Rihanna, Taylor Momsen, Katy Perry, hell, even Miley bloody Cyrus who’s supposed to be an all American teenager for fuck's sake. They're all appearing on stage in their knickers!
They all looked like they just quickly popped out for milk and cigs and forgot to put their pants on. Hey, it happens!
But back to the issue on hand – a while ago Kelly Osbourne called Xtina the worst word in the English language: FAT. (She also called her the C-word, but even prissy Hollywood didn’t seem too perturbed by that in light of the whole: "She called me fat!" debacle.)
Yes folks. You can now call someone a cunt on American TV but heaven forbid you call them fat. Ha ha ha.
Kelly should know that karma is a bitch and weight fluctuates. Will Christina Ugly-haira fight back when she’s all skeletal again? Who knows... In the mean time, table for 2 and a saucer of milk please!
