Does rehab really work?

While checked in, assisting addicts with complete abstinence is rehab’s number one goal. But what happens – or rather, what is supposed to happen – to patients once their ‘treatment’ is over?

What about assistance with relapse prevention? Surely some post-treatment support would've helped celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, who's checked in for her 5th time now, to ditch their habit(s) for good?
