Bill to ban life-saving abortions

accreditation
The House of Representatives has passed a bill to allow hospitals to let women die rather than support life-saving abortions.

This bill is ironically called the Protect Life Act.

First off it extends regulations to prohibit health insurance companies from paying for abortion and after care. This will effectively mean that only the very privileged will be able to afford safe abortions.

And secondly it allows any health care facility to refuse performing life-saving abortions – even if this will mean the mother will die.

Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader said “women can die on the floor of health care providers ... it's just appalling, I can't even describe to you the logic of what they are doing today."
