4 Ways to beat the Monday Blues

We all know that “I hate Mondays” feeling.

You get up in the morning and dread the fact that you have to get back to your weekly schedule. It’s never easy and I must say that no matter how much I try to have a calm and relaxed weekend, I’m always thrown off by Monday’s arrival.

So, I’ve gathered a few ideas/tips that might make your Mondays more bearable and hopefully more productive.

Look good to feel great

You know how the old saying goes and it’s not a lie. Looking good will boost your self-confidence and you’ll feel like you are on top of the world.

Go ahead and put a little extra effort into your wardrobe and see how much better it will make your day.

Have something to look forward to

Plan something nice for yourself that evening or have a dinner date with a friend. Either way it will serve as great motivation.

The thought that there is a reward at the end of the day will be the perfect push for you.

Start your day early

Running late for work can lead to a whole other string of things going wrong. Starting with your wardrobe, prepare for your day’s schedule. Avoid having a messed up day and be bright and early that morning.

Get excited about your work

And you are probably thinking “What, my job isn’t exciting”.  If you have never at any point in your career found your work exciting then it might be time for a career change.

Otherwise, you have to make it exciting; remind yourself of your goals and why you are doing what you do.

Channel your emotions and energy into the right things and you will soon enough feel like you’ve ventured into a new and exciting career.
