Inform your coworkers

You don’t want to catch your colleagues off guard because half of the time people usually don’t mind this, however you still need to inform them.

Look out for hazards

Hazardous items could be scissors, cleaning supplies or any toxic items. Take a look around your office and make sure there aren’t any items that could possibly harm your child when you aren’t looking.

Find a place for them to play

If you have a couch in your office, designate that area for your child. This is the one place where you’re supposed to allow her to be without worrying about disrupting the entire office.

Bring sound-proof toys

If your child gets restless, then bring a few toys to keep her occupied. To avoid the famous saying ‘mommy I’m bored’ comments, make sure you load her tablet with educational and fun games to last the day.

Allocate nap time

Depending on how old your child is, make sure not to disrupt their routine. If 2pm is nap time, let it be so in the office as well. Use this as your time to take a breather or attend important meetings while she’s snuggling with her fluffy toy.

Take walks

Just because you’re used to being in a confined space doesn’t mean your child is. Take your lunch break together and go eat elsewhere besides your office. Walk around your building for ten minutes to get some fresh air.
