It’s certainly happened to many of us – you send someone to the shop with a very specific list but they don’t even get one thing on the list.
When Era Golwalkar (29) sends her man shopping, he doesn’t return from the grocery store with anything she wanted.
She decided to solve her problem by designing a "dummy list" for her husband Gaurav, to make sure he meets her needs.
Rather than just writing a few words on a piece of paper, she’s now started using pictures as visual demonstrations.
She shared a photo of her list on Twitter and over 5,000 Twitter users have already liked it.
You can see pictures of onions and potatoes on the shopping list.
She told the BBC that since her husband is inexperienced in the kitchen, he has no idea which vegetables to buy.
“When Gaurav and I got married three years ago, we decided to split the household chores,” she said to BBC.
“Gaurav was very supportive and was ready to learn to cook (which isn’t common for a lot of men in India). But there was one problem I wasn't aware of back then – he had no experience with anything related to cooking.”
“When I first sent him to purchase vegetables, it was an epic fail and an argument ensued between us. The second time was no better, and neither was the third.”
Gaurav would send pictures on WhatsApp but she decided that writing a meticulous list would be better for ensuring that there’d be no arguments.
It worked. Gaurav returned with the right items and the arguments stopped.
Twitter, of course, thought it was hilarious!
