This happened to Jessica Pretorius, a minister’s wife from Rustenburg. Puzzled and angry, she consulted the consumer goods and services ombud, who ultimately ruled in her favour.

Pretorius says she ordered the dressing table online as a birthday gift to herself. She and her husband already have a bed made in the same style.
