Most of the power projects registered rely on solar PV technology. (Lameez Omarjee/News24)

A total of 124 private power projects were registered between October and December 2023, or the third quarter of the 2023/24 financial year, with most of these located in the Western Cape, Gauteng, and the Eastern Cape, the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) has said.
