Mango's business rescue practitioner (BRP) has announced he is proceeding with the sale of the low-cost airline to an as yet unnamed investor amid a dispute with Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan.
BRP Sipho Sono said in a new report that he was "entitled to assume" that he can go ahead with the outright sale of the low-cost airline.
The decision follows months of legal wrangling between Sono and Gordhan, who has demanded detailed information on the prospective owner's business plan and foreign ownership before deciding on the sale.
