Natasha Caudill is a 24-year-old woman from Chicago. She shares her experiences living with colour blindness on her TikTok, @natashac44, which currently has 1.2 million followers.
She explains that she was born with achromatopsia, which is a hereditary eye disorder, which means she is completely colourblind.
"I have day blindness and just overall pretty bad vision, so I won the eyesight lottery,” she says in an Oovvuu video provided by Now This.
“I honestly find it really hard to explain to people that I really like doing my makeup even though I can’t see the colours. I just don’t think you have to enjoy something the same way as everyone else, just have fun.”

She says that everything she knows about colour is things that people taught her.
“I know blue is very calming, it’s the colour of a lot of nature like water, the sky. I really just associate it with things other than being able to see it.”
Natasha states that she does not need to see colour to have fun with makeup and clothing and thinks that people can learn from that.
