Earlier this year, a toothpaste brand announced that "parents are not being the best possible examples", thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, and that fewer people are brushing their teeth twice a day compared to two years ago.
The survey revealed a 5% drop among adults and an 11% drop among children when it comes to brushing teeth. One in four (26%) children are not brushing their teeth in the day and at night, and 40% of adults have reported going entire days without brushing their teeth.
The research, conducted by toothpaste brand Mentadent P, also shows that parents' poor oral habits have an impact on children. Children are seven times more likely to skip teeth brushing if their parents don't brush their teeth in the day and at night.
