Having a baby brings plenty of joy, but recovering from birth is difficult for most moms.
According to a survey that included more than 2000 American moms, 7 out of 10 consider recovering from having a baby as one of the most difficult emotional challenges of their lives.
One-third of moms said they were diagnosed with postpartum depression.

While they were dealing with difficult emotional recovery, the physical healing was serious, too, with 66% noticing a decline in their pelvic floor health.
Three in five said they experienced incontinence after giving birth.
Additionally, of the difficulties new moms commonly experienced, the survey found that many struggled with:
- Mood swings (53%)
- Changes to their weight (52%)
- Feeling helpless (50%)
Certainly, bringing another person into the world is a daunting yet rewarding task.
