Keisha Schahaff has won an experience that includes a once in a lifetime trip to space with the Virgin Galactic flight, along with a tour of Spaceport America.
This Antigua and Barbuda born mom is a health and energy coach passionate about empowering women to live their best life.
Forty-four-year-old Schahaff has always dreamt of going to space. Her hope is to bring her daughter, an astrophysics student, as a guest on this incredible journey.
Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson surprised Schahaff with the news in her home in early November.
When Schahaff saw Branson, she screamed as she did not believe she had won.
During an interview with AFP, she shared that she has always had an interest in space since she was a little girl.
She added that this will be a great opportunity to feel alive and make the most incredible adventure ever.
Schahaff won the prize after entering a fundraiser sweepstake which raised at least US$1.7 million. The fundraiser was organised by Virgin Galactic on their Omaze platform.
