When Johannesburg mom blogger Adele Koolen uploaded a proud moment of her son's singing act during school assembly last week, she had no idea just how much joy the video clip would bring to masses of internet users around the world. 

She posted the viral video of her son, Desmond, affectionally known as Desi, performing James Brown's I Got You (I Feel Good) to her TikTok account on Friday evening and woke up to a flood of messages and millions of heart-warming reactions to her seven-year-old's standout stage performance. 

US comedian and TV host Wayne Brady was one of the first prominent international figures to commend Desi's star power on TikTok, commenting on the original post, which has since garnered more than 13 million views, three million likes, and thousands of reshares. "He just made my whole day!" Brady wrote.
