Lira reflects on the past year: 'I couldn't work so I was left with living life - happily'

Lira is celebrating "life" on her 44th birthday.

The South African singer celebrated her special day on Tuesday and shared multiple posts on social media reflecting on her whirlwind past year. 

In a second post, Lira shared a special wish for herself: "I have life. May I live it to the fullest. May [it] be filled with wonderful opportunities. May it be happy!"

Lira suffered a stroke while in Germany for a performance in April 2022. She has since spent time out of the spotlight recovering but has continuously shared updates.

In her most recent health update, the 44-year-old noted that her "speech healing is very slow" but added that she was doing her best to "remain sane".
