Lira shares throwback video reveals 'speech challenging, but I can still sing'

Lira shared a health update four months after suffering a stroke.

Alongside a throwback video in which the South African songbird is rehearsing one of her hits Return To Me, with the Mzansi Youth Choir, Lira wrote: "Speech challenging but I can still sing."

In April, the news of Lerato "Lira" Molapo's stroke sent shockwaves through the country. 

A statement shared on Lira's social media platforms confirmed that the 43-year-old had suffered a stroke while in Germany for a performance but had returned to South Africa to recover.

Since then, the former Voice SA coach has regularly updated her fans about her progress on social media.

Lira previously announced that she had relearned how to talk, read and write three months into rehabilitation. She has also repeatedly thanked her fans and followers for their continued support.
