Lira is travelling again for the first time since suffering a stroke in April.

The songstress revealed that she is in St Francis in Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth, marking the first time she has flown in a plane in 7 months.

"Here I'm on the canal cruise - it's truly beautiful. They have exquisite restaurants - the food there is quite awesome," Lira wrote alongside a reel of herself sitting on a boat enjoying the views.

In September, alongside the first photo she shared of herself since before her stroke, Lira shared that she had been diagnosed with aphasia but noted that it was reversible.

"I am feeling like myself, yet I'm still on my recovery journey," she wrote. "It's going to take some time - but it's reversible! This process has been fascinating for me, and although it's quite challenging at times, I am happy."

"Just to be alive each day is a blessing. To be among friends and loved ones is a precious gift. Many of you have been rooting for me, and your support has meant the world to me!"

Weeks before sharing the update, Lira made her first public appearance at the launch of fellow musician Tamara Dey's single, Disco Therapy.
