When Dev Patel approached South African actor Sharlto Copley about a role in his directorial debut, Monkey Man, the District 9 actor couldn't refuse.

The action thriller stars Patel as Kid, a boxer who sets out to exact revenge on the people who took everything from him.

Copley plays the role of Tiger, a sleazy fight promoter.
