Video-on-demand service Frightfan.TV has partnered as the exclusive streaming platform for the SA Horrorfest, Ghost in the Machine, 16th Virtual Edition.

The festival will run from 28 October to 13 November and includes a line-up 45 features, seven short film collections from around the world and the South African film Fried Barry. Tickets are R50 per screening, or R600 for a full festival pass and go on sale on 23 October. Some films will have limited screenings, check the schedule here.

Frightfan.TV is also collaborating with movie reviewer and critic Stephen Aspeling (SPl!NG) and his "Bingeing with SPL!NG" series, for a special Halloween Online Watch Party of the film The Cleaning Lady and Videoman on Saturday 31 October. This exclusive event will include interviews and Q&A’s with The Cleaning Lady director Jon Knautz and cast members Rachel Alig and our very own Stelio Savante. There will also be a special "bedtime" reading by well-known local horror author Joan De La Haye for fans after the film. Find out more here.

The Frightfan.TV VOD platform has recently been upgraded with optimisation for mobile and screencasting, a Bargain Bin shelf where films only cost R10 per rental (with premium still being R25), single login step login, and seamless payment gateway. The platform will launch a SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) service later this month, allowing you to binge as much as you can for one subscription monthly fee (pricing TBC).
