Gavin Rajah is considered one of the luxury brands in South Africa; businesswomen Basetsana Kumalo and Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe are often spotted in couture fabrics created by the Cape Town designer.

Notably, his clientele has included Nelson Mandela, Beyoncé, Tina Turner and Tom Cruise in his three decades of designing.

Rajah tells News24 he doesn't take for granted that some people have supported his brand over the years but cannot always afford the pricey must-haves he designed.
