He was made fun of when he was a boy because he preferred to play with Barbie dolls, rather than toy cars. But he didn't let the mocking deter him and today, Marcell Damaschke's collection has grown to more than 800 dolls worth more than £25 746 (about R625 000).

Damaschke, from Berlin in Germany, is often compared to Barbie's boyfriend Ken with his blonde hair. He said the massive collection of the iconic fashion doll - created in 1959 - barely fits in his home. Despite that, he can't stop looking for new versions of the iconic toy.
