When it comes to dating, relationships, and romance, everyone has their preferences. While some get their kicks from dating people who look a certain way, others go for particular personality traits. Some people have age preferences and strictly date people who are either older or younger than them.

This decision often comes with much judgement from outsiders who are critical of anyone or anything they believe falls outside of what's "normal."

Women are sometimes referred to as "gold diggers" when they date older men who are more often than not more financially stable than they are.

Men, on the other hand, are accused of trying to "groom" their younger partners.

In fact, Aoki Lee Simmons, the daughter of famous American model Kimora Lee Simmons and hip hop mogul father Russell Simmons, recently set tongues wagging after exposing her relationship with 65-year-old Vittorio Assaf, a successful restaurateur.
