The Power of Precocious Panties

Women should always celebrate and showcase their feminine form to the best of their ability. A great way of doing this is by wearing gorgeously scanty and lascivious lingerie.

It accentuates and enhances the smooth curve of our backs, the fullness of our hips, the roundness of our derrieres and the pertness of our breasts and is the perfect way of distinguishing us as the fairer sex.

Whatever you and your partner’s particular tastes might be, deliciously decadent underwear will give you the confidence to undress and impress with style, charm and eroticism.

The choices are endless. Knickers come in boy legs, French cuts, tangas, Brazilian knickers, G-strings and thongs while bras can be form fitting, padded, underwired or strapless and then there are babydolls, teddies and camis just for fun.  These come in various shapes, sizes, fabrics and colours and all we have to do is choose wisely and show them off with aplomb.

It hasn’t always been this easy for ladies to disrobe with confidence and sometimes reflecting on the past helps us to appreciate what we’ve got. In ancient times women had nothing other than rather rough subligaculum (loin cloths) with which to entice their men.

Then, as communities became more “civilized”, society prescribed what was socially acceptable and the natural female form was engulfed under multiple layers of restrictive clothing, which must have had the men snoring by the time it was all removed. Oddly enough, at the height of these dark and dismal days, most “decent” woman actually wore crotchless knickers.

The two pantalettes attached at the waist and fully covered the legs but left an open mid-section (the forerunner to the drive-in panties of the fifties perhaps). It wasn’t until the mid-1800s, when the cancan dancers of Paris dared to throw their legs in the air and were immediately instructed by law to cover up, that women began to stitch the two leggings together.

Soon after that, mechanization facilitated a ready supply of cotton fabric and women could buy rather than make their own underwear. Voluminous drawers morphed into pantaloons as ladies were slightly liberated by a fashion that permitted a lascivious peep of the ankle.

Then, with the invention of the bicycle, free-spirited socialite Amelia Bloomer inspired the design that was to become a precursor to the modern day knickers. Bloomers offered women a new freedom of movement and made it a little easier for couples to get down to it.

When cleavages popped up, hefty and cumbersome padded brassiere (French for support) replaced the horribly uncomfortable and restrictive full corset. These boulder holders served their purpose admirably but certainly required a superior standard of dexterity to remove. In the roaring twenties the flapper girls aspired to a boyish figure and bound their breasts with bits of cloth to smooth out their female silhouettes, which must have had them feeling like they were seducing a mummy.

Thankfully sanity prevailed and soon thereafter various light weight bra and panties sets appeared on the shelves and since then it’s only got easier.

With so many choices out there, there is certainly no excuse for anyone to hide their assets or wait for the lights to go out before undressing. We, at Lady Fay’s Boudoir, encourage every women out there to embrace their bodies and to show them off with confidence and panache in the knowledge that in the right little frilly bits, we are all as sexy as hell and  devilishly tempting.
