  • Former talent agent Genevieve Campori recently tied the knot to her Italian husband, Guiseppe.
  • The bride called on fashion icon Vivienne Westwood to design her non-traditional wedding gown.
  • The gold gown is a Baroque-inspired number made from crafted silk lamé and lurex organza.

Vivienne Westwood is a prominent figure in the fashion industry; her designs have been worn by many celebrities on the red carpet and by many brides on their special day. This bride decided to enquire the services of the fashion icon by taking a non-traditional route with her wedding gown. Founder of Strange Field Flowers and former talent agent Genevieve Morano Campori recently tied the knot to her Italian husband Giuseppe on 25 June at Guiseppe's Italian setting family home.

When Genevieve spoke to British Vogue about her special day, she explained why she chose the colour of her wedding dress. "The only thing I knew is that I wasn't going to wear white," she said. Eventually, settling on gold because the colour "felt powerful." Genevieve also felt strongly about Vivienne Westwood designing her gown. The bride worked with the designer's team led by Marie Leck and Galina Alikhanova for this gold wedding dress, consisting of a big asymmetrical draped skirt with a corset, detachable sleeves and a dramatic three-meter train. The team said the dress's design is so that it can be worn again in many different styles and for different occasions.

"The dress can be re-worn after the wedding time and time again styled as an evening look or worn in more casual settings for many years to come. It's the ultimate definition of Vivienne's ethos, 'buy less, choose well, make it last.'" To make the dress, the team created their own special fabric made from silk lamé and lurex organza. Head of Couture at Vivienne Westwood's company, Brigitte Stepputtis, said the bride's choice of colour complimented the venue so perfectly. "The result was a seamless balance of rich colour and volume - contrasting beautifully with the historical Baroque architecture of the intimate church setting," she adds.
