A daughter gave her parents an anniversary gift to remember by getting married 40 years to the day they tied the knot - and she let them have the big day they never had in the process.

The bride said before setting that date, she sought her parents' permission, and they agreed.

Her parents, Joseph North, 60, and Mary North, 59, retired ex-marine workers, did not get their dream wedding because they secretly married at a courthouse as teenagers.
