  • Almost anything and everything can go wrong on your wedding day.
  • There can be delays with the vendors, or a bride might arrive late to her wedding.
  • Police officers gave these brides a lift after their ride broke down.

Weddings are often delayed for different reasons, from a bride being late to family members getting lost trying to find a venue; the list is endless. However, it is rare that both people getting married run late for their wedding. Fortunately for these UK brides, police officers offered to give them a ride after their coach broke down on their big day.

Brides Jemma and Sian Batchelor Thomas were under pressure to arrive at their wedding venue while guests were waiting. On their way, their coach broke down carrying the bridal party; fortunately, police officers were around to rescue them from missing out on their special day. Taking to Facebook, the police officers decided to share what they did to assist. "Hedge End Neighbourhood's Team to the rescue!" They began the post before telling followers what went down.

"We were in the right place at the right time this morning as a coach carrying a wedding party had broken down on St John's Road in Hedge End."

"The brides were understandably very worried that they were going to miss their wedding. We told them to hop in the police car, and we gave them a lift in style to their wedding venue, arriving with minutes to spare. We wish them all the best for a very happy future together and are happy that we could be there to help."
