Daily marijuana use among US teenagers in 2020 was at the highest level recorded since 1991, a report revealed last year, and, according to the latest research, 16- and 17-year-olds are more vulnerable to developing a marijuana addiction than adults. 

"Cannabis addiction is a real issue that teenagers should be aware of, as they appear to be much more vulnerable to it than adults," lead author Dr Will Lawn, from the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, said in a news release.

However, the researchers also found that they may not be at increased risk of other mental health problems related to marijuana.
