Police in Gqeberha are investigating a business robbery case after five masked suspects who were armed robbed a security company on Mill Park Drive, Mill Park on April 15.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, the business robbery took place at 23:00.
He said that the five masked and armed men managed to enter the premises and demanded entrance to the control room at gunpoint.
“They then proceeded to get access to the firearm safe and took 13 x 9mm pistols, nine magazines, and 135 rounds of ammunition,” said Beetge.
He further said that they also took one laptop and five cellphones, before locking the three employees in the safe room and leaving the premises in a white VW Polo.
Beetge said that no one was injured during the incident and no arrests have been made yet.
“A business robbery case has been opened and is being investigated by SAPS Mount Road,” said Beetge.
