An electrifying wave of anticipation is rising for the upcoming Women4Life Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km.

This year’s participant count is set to smash previous records, and it’s all in support of Pink Drive.

Participants will be able to collect their race packs on Monday and Tuesday, August 7 and 8, between 12:00 and 18:00. Registration takes place in the Boardwalk Mall’s Sun Park amphitheatre, and will set the exciting tone for the big day.

Between 08:30 and 09:30 on race day a surprise guest will add even more sparkle to the event. In addition, a host of sponsors, including Women4Life, are on standby and eager to reward participants with lucky draw prizes.

The colourful 5km will spring into action at 09:30 on Wednesday, August 9, at the main entrance of the Boardwalk Mall on Marine Drive.

The event will have a touch of glamour, with the support of the newly-crowned Mrs Eastern Cape, Christie-Leigh Heidi Gouws.

“I am supporting the Women4Life Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km and Pink Drive as I believe we as women must support and empower each other on a daily basis. I lost family due to cancer and because it’s Women’s Month, I am passionate about doing my part,” said Gouws.

Ubermann’s gallant gentlemen will be at the finish line, ready to hand out medals and drinks to all the tireless participants.

A grand prize-giving ceremony will follow the race, ensuring that the day’s activities end on a high note.

Online entries are open until midnight on Monday, August 7.
