Sophisticate Models, a renowned modeling school with a rich 35-year legacy, will present its ninth Fashion Extravaganza on Saturday, September 2, at 15:00 at the Feather Market Centre in Gqeberha.

This year’s Fashion Extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring a showcase of designs from 17 of Gqeberha’s most talented designers.

From the sophisticated creations of Alec Sii Designs, to the unique vision of Amanda Knots and the elegant offerings of Heinz in Style, the runway will come alive with a diverse range of styles that exemplify the creative spirit of the city.

Gail Brown, the founder of Sophisticate Models, shared her journey from the school’s humble beginnings in 1988, to its status as a pillar of excellence in the modeling industry.

“Sophisticate Models was born out of a dream and passion to empower and uplift aspiring models. Over the years, we have nurtured self-esteem, discipline, and professionalism in our models, setting high standards that have made us a beacon of success.”

The event will also commemorate Sophisticate Models’ 35th anniversary, a milestone that speaks to the dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to excellence that has characterised the school’s journey.

“To all my models, ex-models, parents, teachers, and supporters, thank you for your belief in the dream.

“We have evolved into one of the top modeling schools in the Eastern Cape and South Africa, and it’s a testament to the collaborative spirit that defines Sophisticate Models,” said Brown.

Tickets for the Fashion Extravaganza will be available for purchase at the venue starting from 14:00, priced at R130 per person.
