The determined actions of a 15-year-old victim led to the arrest of a 15-year-old suspect for armed robbery.
On Thursday 9 November the complainant was walking from school in Dirkie Uys Street, Goodwood, when the suspect approached him, pointed him with a firearm and demanded his cellphone. After taking his cell phone the suspect fled on foot.

According to Capt Wayne Theunis, spokesperson at Goodwood police, the complainant, recognised the suspect, did his investigation and found the suspect walking on the corner of Hugo Street and Voortrekker Road after he and his father did not find the suspect at his home address. There he stopped a police vehicle and pointed out the suspect. The suspect ran away but was arrested.
