COLUMN: Let’s talk rands and sense

Think before you complain about camping fees, cautions Neels van Heerden.

People sometimes joke that camping is for the middle class who pay a fortune to live like the lower class. I also recently heard a caller on a travel programme say camping fees border on exploitation.

I disagree with the caller and believe he doesn’t realise the extent of the input and operating costs required to keep a campsite’s head above water.
