Before 1994, the word ‘racist’ was seldom used. Now, if you disagree with a person, you are racist even if you just remark on the way a person is dressed. This is stupid.

Zapiro is not a racist because, in the absence of ministers being accountable in public to the constituents, or rather in the absence of the constituents, the only face we see is that of the president. In reality, the public is not supposed to challenge the president, but his troops – his Cabinet ministers – who are hiding behind him. They only open their mouths when they have left the world of politics. Zapiro is helping to close that gap.

Zapiro is not racist; he is as truthful as can be. Zuma is the one president who has cost us a lot. He has no regard for the millions of starving South Africans.
