Six News24 journalists have bagged awards in the regional leg of the Vodacom Journalist of the Year (VJOY) Awards, which showcase South Africa's top journalism talent.
The journalists, based in three different provinces, were recognised by the 2023 VJOY judging panel during a series of countrywide events held last week.
On the politics desk in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Soyiso Maliti bagged an award for his reporting on KZN's uneducated councillors in an article titled, "Dysfunctipalities: Nearly 300 KZN councillors can't read or write."
